Environmental Services Package Policies (ESP)
Insurance coverage can be provided for environmental contractors, consultants, engineers, and laboratories on a package basis. An insured can purchase a package policy that suits their particular operation or service. The package policy can combine Commercial General Liability (CGL) coverage with Contractor’s Pollution Liability (CPL), Non-Owned Disposal Site Liability (NODS), Professional Liability (PL), Transportation Pollution Liability (TPL), and/or Incidental Site Liability. The CGL policy is written an ISO occurrence form.
ESP is suitable for many environmental contractors, consultants, engineers, and laboratories. Preferred and target classes include:
- Fire and water restoration contractors
- Soil and groundwater remediation contractors
- Solar and alternative energy contractors
- Asbestos, lead, mold, and radon abatement contractors
- Emergency response contractors
- Crime scene and meth lab cleanup contractors
- Alternative energy and green contractors/consultants (wind, solar, water, and bio-mass)
- Storage tank installation, cleaning and removal contractors
- Industrial hygiene, health and safety consultants
- Medical and biohazard waste collection and disposal contractors
- Mold inspectors and consultants
- Environmental laboratory analysis, packing, and testing firms
- Environmental air testing, compliance, and permitting consultants
Policy Benefits
- Coverage is written through an A.M. Best A- or better rated carrier
- CGL offers bodily injury and property damage coverage under an ISO CG 04 13 occurrence form
- Coverage is available to insureds performing environmental contracting, consulting, engineering, and
- laboratory operations and/or services
- Additional coverage enhancements include: Mold Coverage, Transportation Pollution Liability and Non-Owned Disposal Site Coverage, Sample Disposal, and Contractor’s Site Liability Coverage
- Mold coverage may be added on either an occurrence or claims-made

Submission Requirements
The following information is required for environmental package submissions:
- A completed and Signed Alta Environmental Application (or other acceptable environmental application)
- Three (3) years currently valued loss runs
- Copy of the applicant’s current year and prior year end financial statements.
- Copies of applicable licenses/certifications, where applicable
- List of five (5) most recently completed projects
