Transportation Pollution Liability (TPL) Insurance

Transporters of hazardous material and/or haulers of a regulated commodity are required to show evidence of clean up coverage in the event of a release. While contractor’s pollution liability (“CPL”) insurance policies may include coverage for vehicle use at a jobsite, they typically offer little or no coverage for transportation exposures away from a jobsite. Our Transportation Pollution Liability (TPL) insurance coverage provides true occurrence form pollution liability for vehicles on a first and/or third party basis.

Policy Benefits

• Coverage is written through an A.M. Best A- or better rated carrier
• Coverage is designed for Motor Vehicle Pollution Liability only; it does not include MCS90 financial responsibility, Commercial Automobile Liability or Physical Damage coverage
• Coverage can be provided for first- and third-party (incidental) transportation pollution exposures
• Limits up to $6M available
• Minimum premium: $1,500
• Non-owned Site Liability for waste disposal
